radial dampener question ?

697 Views 7 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  VARIABLE9
if i wanted to put a radial dampener on an 2k SVS with 01-03 GSXR triples would i still be able to use the dampener for the 02' sv or would i have to use the dampener for the GSXR?

if i had to use the GSXR dampener what would i do about the "upside down T shaped thing" ?

So you want to put a steering damper on your SV, but unsure which to use? Is that the question? And it sounds like you want to use a 'Pit Bull' style one on the top triple, not a side or front mounted long piston type, correct?
that's a lot of dampeners.. right out of the sink works great for dampening :D

I want to put a radial damper on an 2k SVS. It has 01-03 GSXR triples. I have a damper unit for the '02 but and unsure about fitment to the GSXR triples. Specifically, there is an issue with something that is shaped like an uside down letter T.

I'd appreciate any help with this and will try and clarify if folks find the issues difficult to understand.

Is this correct?
I have a GPR on mine. Its an excellent addition over a cheap GSXR linear.

CAll GPR but from what I remmber its a GSXR collar on the Triple. And an SV T-bar they can put it together for you.

I recommend the WERA for sale forum and buy a generic Damper (just the Rotary)and then get the T and the collar from GPR or buy a GSXR one and then buy the T and sell the GSXR T on another forum.

First call Scotts or GPR. IMO
I have no idea what a dampener is. A damper on the other hand, I know lots about dampers.
damper dampener tomato tomawto.....ill call gpr thanks buzzman
Others have done it with the top mount too, not just with a GPR. I think calling them direct for the exact parts needed will do the trick.
