Race/Track day brake line question

648 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  dc-norm
To all those that do the race/track day thing... I'm putting Vortex rear sets on my race bike and have been told that the stock rear brake line isn't going to be long enough. A buddy of mine that races an SV had a custom SS line made for him by Galfer (39mm eyelet to eyelet). My question is, are there any off-the-shelf ones that fit (maybe for another make/model?) or is my best bet going the custom route?

Getting a custom line made is dead simple, give www.cyclebrakes.com a call and tell em what you need. Remember, measure twice - cut once.
Good info, I'll check them out now. Thanks!
Excellent customer service there, good people.
Hi Norm!
;D What's up, Nudist?
My SV650 is track only -- I have Sato rearsets, and I ordered the standard SV stainless steel lines from Galfer. They all fit with no issues, front and rear.

Good to know. How far up/back are the Sato's from stock?
