What do you think? I know people here have both so chime in and tell me what you think. Pros and cons for both.

The Sonics for my weight are $79 and the Race Techs are $109. Is it worth the extra money for the techs or are the sonics just as good but cheaper?

I'm going to get them in a few weeks so help a brother out.

I love my sonic springs and by buying them you would be supporting an SVR vendor plus Rich is an awesome guy to deal with!

A spring is a spring is a spring. Rich (Sonic Springs) is an active member here and offers a lot of support on this site as well as customer support though his company. I vote for Sonic Springs.

I knew it, it only took three minutes for me to get the answer I thought. Looks like i'll be hitting Rich up soon.

From what I've read, Rich at Sonic Springs manufactures his springs to the same standard that Race Tech does. Plus, he's a great guy, has been riding/racing an SV for 10 years, supports SVRider.com and most importantly, I'm using his springs ;)

I'm happy with the way this is going. I just ordered a set of Sonic springs two days ago. If there had been a bunch of "Race Tech FTMFW" posts, it would have made me sad.

I went with Sonic. I got mine free (friend gave me a gift certificate), but I was planning to order them anyway. Rich is a good dude and he helped me a lot when deciding on which rate to go with and which oil to use.

Save yourself the extra money and go with sonic springs, I haven't heard one story yet about anyone disappointed with them

So what fork oil should I use, I'm thinking 15? This is taking in mind I weigh 155lbs. and think I should get the 80kg/mm springs or maybe the 85's?

Email Rich with your weight, riding style and what kind of riding you do. He'll suggest the best spring rate and oil weight.

Just throwing another kudo's out for Rich. He helped with my springs and oil and I love the setup. I'm 190 and the stock suspension does not behave nicely for a guy my size.

I just ordered the Sonics, 0.95. I sent Rich my specifics, and asked his recommendations. You and I are about the same weight. What weight and volume of fork oil are you using?
