The basic gist is to keep my trunk space... tell me what I should change (if anything). This is all rough right now with cardboard and zinc so please, no aesthetic judging at this time 
The white tape was just a marking point when I was thinking about making my tail a bobber... which still might be in the works depending on my trunk idea. If I make it a bobber, I'd like to fg over the race tail to take certain cues from it to make it flow for a short bobber.
This piece would be bedliner'ed and go over the tail though the clips would go through both parts here (to keep the tail down) the top part of the tail would have two finger screws to go through a couple of holes in the subframe that already exist (i use them for my bike now). That'll keep the "fender eliminator" up. It'll be hinged to the lower part.
The lower part and where the hinge would go.
I'd still cut the center mounts out of the sub frame if I keep the trunk/race tail idea and put one center bracket towards the white line. That'll give more upward space in the tail.
Yes, I know this is not what race tails are for.
