PSA: Cheap Gel Batteries USA and UK
I keep a spare fully charged Gel battery for my SV in case my main one gets flattened. Here in the UK they are abundant and easily got from eBay or Tanya battery company.
These are for my 1999 Gen1 SV650.

The way I look at it now is I can get two of this type of cheaper AGM/Gels for the price of an expensive one and always have a charged battery ready just-in-case
I did an inexpensive batteryshark lead acid battery in the Monster at least 2 years before I sold it, and had no problems. I was glad because the battery did not live under the seat. You had to drop it out the bottom, which was umm. interesting. And none to convenient if you needed a jump start, which I never did.
