temp and shift setpoints for programmable display
stock SV650 Gen I with M4 can to run SS

Temp:
Installing an aftermarket display on an SV. It has programmable set points for "hot" and "very hot" warning LED's.

defaults are 190 degrees for 1st warning and 230 degrees for 2nd warning.

looking for suggestions for setpoints. defaults OK? I don't want a lite unless it's hotter than normal for racing.

Shift RPM:
two LED's; "time to shift" and "Overrev" or "shift Now".

need correct RPM.

thx in advance for any help

190 is a normal operating temp. The bike's fan is not set to come on until 215 which is still a normal temp. If you hit 230 you are running too hot. So yeah, I say the defaults are fine. One light to tell you you are warmed up and ready to race, one to tell ya your about to catch fire ;). Not sure on the Rpm's for a time to set a shift light, I shift mostly by feel. For the Overrev light I would guess you would want to be near Redline which is 10.5--the rev limiter should kick in at 11.5 unless you have done something to disable it.
