So im new to riding and I bought a 2007 Sv650s and was wonders if it uses the same frame as the gixxr and if so does that mean the plastics will fit my bike?

That would be a big negative. As far as I know nearly everything is different between the SV and Gixxer.......

Nothing is the same between the two bikes. There are body kits out there to add full body work to the SV....You can even fit some GSXR race plastic with a little fiddling.

These bikes are not related in any way other than the manufacturer.
Plastics are different in all respects.
Now, you can work to make them fit, but that's a custom job, not a direct swap.

yes, but it requires 100% custom mounting brackets.

new to bikes and drastic custom work don't typically go hand-in-hand.

is tehre anyway to swap the gixxer tail/subframe with a gen 2 sv?
i really like the look of the flat/wide ss tail.

a lot of the parts of the Gsxr can be used with the sv650. perhaps the subframe holes line up? I know i have seen somebody put an mv agusta tail on the sv.

It is not bolt on. Either parts need to be fabricated, or modified, or wont fit at all properly.

If you want a custom tail unit, start with a custom subframe built to the SV frame and the plastics you wish to mate.
