it doesn't look like a camera at all. Looks like a small transformer. Probably audio output.

There's a camera in the TV converter box too?
****, the neighbor just told me that he opened up his miracle infrared heater that he bought, (you know the one.....it says you can wheel it from room to room and save half on your heat bill), and there's a camera/gps in there too.
Eden Pure was more clever than the TV converter box folks though. As you drag the heater around, it tracks and records you. It can't see you if you're right on top of it though, and as it says in the ad the cabinet doesn't get hot. So if you want to have sexy time on the heater.....you're good to go.

But of course I have. That's a good point. Next time, I'll reach over with my huge member and knock the box off the TV before the real show begins.
In all honesty, I solved this problem by not having a 64 year old TV.
Besides, the people who would need converter boxes are probably for the most part (Mike notwithstanding) older couples who are hanging on to older sets. How many of those people are assembling pipe-bombs on their coffee tables?
It just seems like if the gov really wanted to spy on us, there would be better ways to do it. Like...oh, I don't know..tapping our phones?

I'm with the BS flag waving smiley. The camera from the video is mounted on what looks like a power transformer. Too hot for the CCD camera. Besides, adding a camera to each box would up the price of manufacturing anywhere from $5-$10. That's alot, even though our tax dollars are paying for rebates to buy everyone a box.
