Oneida Low Seat and Front Brake Lever

I have a 2008 SV650SF and I was thinking of purchasing the oneida low seat (my heels are about an inch off the ground) and I'm wondering if the vinyl over the seat will match the stock back seat?

I've also dropped my bike once while learning to ride and it didn't do much damage other than snap the ball off the end of the front brake lever. I was looking at the oneida site and I didn't see a front brake lever which specifically stated the 08 SV650SF. I did find this one though:

Will the 06 SV650 one fit the 08? They look the same. Could someone specify exactly which one of these I should buy if any of them will fit my bike?

And one more thing that is kind of off topic: Anyone have any tips for backing up on a incline? Trying to push with my tip toes doesn't work too well :).

Thanks in advanced,

if you have a cycle gear or other dealership you should be able to get a brake lever there for pretty cheap, save on shipping
That low seat is an OEM Suzuki low seat, not really an Oneida specific item. It should match the rear seats vinyl just fine.
Any lever from any SV650/S 2003+ should fit.
dackler is right. The vinyl matches just like the stock seat. Not only will you get a 1/2 lower ride, it's also narrower.

Almost the same price, and shipping both ways, but you get a better seat out of the deal.

I'm pretty sure he can do a 'lowering' job for you.

I just had my seat modded by Spencer at Great Day To Ride. Well worth the $100 total!

Here's my review:

I bought an OEM low seat and was very unhappy. I just sent out the original seat to Spencer to get it lowered and modded with the "LD" upgrade. From everything I heard it should be great. Spend your money on the seat mod from www.greatdaytoride.com
if you are parking in a up hill grade try parking in the opposite direction.if you have to back into a space its ok. use you bikes motor to pull you foward up the hill then your weight will allow you to roll the bike backward into the parking spot. then when you leave ..no toe pushing needed.. your motor will pull you up the hill
I appreciate all the replies/advice. I'm going to talk to that spencer guy to see how much the seat can be lowered and also if it can be made narrower like the OEM low seat.

Anyone know how much just a front brake lever would generally cost? I just need the lever (just had the ball snap off it). The oneida site lists one for the 06 model for $37 which seems kind of expensive.

Also, what frame sliders do you guys recommend for a SV650 with full fairings? I've dropped the bike 3 times (while stopped/practically stopped. Was turning into car port and though I was going to hit wall and tapped front brake...), and so far no MAJOR damage to the bike (other than the snapped front brake lever and some barely noticeable scratches on fairings, pretty deep one on muffler though). Don't want to push my luck though and figure while it's cold right now I can get my bike ready for when it gets warmer.

Thanks! I'm going to go check the local shops around town and see if they have any levers in stock, if they don't then I will definitely order these.
