So I was riding home today in a light to medium rain (about a 30min ride) and at a stop light my bike kept shutting off. My first thought was something with the plugs getting wet but anyway I got home and stopped the bike and it would idle fine. However whenever I would squeeze the front brake lever the bike would studder and stall. When I would do this I could see the neutral light and I believe headlight dim a bit before it died. So that would leave me to believe it was electrical. This has only happened once and I havent had a chance to ride it since. Has this ever happened to anyone? Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any responses.

Nothing to add to your analysis just to affirm that you have a short because of the water. I would check the tail light area (under the seat) specifically to see if perhaps a wire is grounding out.

Check the battery connections and ground wires first... could be a loose/bad ground wire.
