tank prop rod

when you do service on the engine you unbolt the tank from the front and the gas-tank hinges back and you use that rod to prop the tank up

You know how those armored jackets are, hard to bend your arms to scratch your back

Mine sits in my garage though after the fender eliminator

When I can't find mine(since I took it out to put in my garage tool kit) I use a rubber mallet with the hammer side down. Its usually the perfect length and I just rest it on the steering stem neck.

Pffttt. Tank prop rod, yeah right.

Everyone knows that it's for seating the muffler bearings.
