Just picked up a 4200-mile 06 S non-runner for $1300 last month. New airbox and throttle bodies + rebuilding the fuel pump had it running within a couple of weeks. I threw a $170 set of stock size Shinkos on it, changed the oil, coolant, brake fluid front & rear and fork oil, lubed the chain and it's been an awesome bike. Since I was still all-in less than 2K including registration fees it seemed rude not to start throwing look-at-me parts on it while the good weather is still here, so I sprang for some lower fairings, tail tidy, bar ends, a solo cowl and a Delk slip-on. I also found that my parts bike had a modded R6 throttle tube so I swapped that over as well.

Still waiting on several items to arrive this weekend, but I fitted the fairings and exhaust yesterday and here's how it currently sits.

I've been piling on the miles every day and having a blast with it, completely neglecting my VFR800 since this thing went on the road.

Tail tidy showed up so I popped that on, AKA "totally disassembled the seats and rear fairings and fought with the new parts to get things lined up".

Ditched the grab handle too - turns out a 95 DR650 front seat retainer will work nicely as a replacement part to keep the pax seat held down.

Yeah I lucked out in that my tank was relatively clean, just the pump parts and sump were really caked up with crap. The level senders in both tanks I got had also mostly dissolved. I was able to salvage just one, so I just have the 1/2 gallon reserve light working currently. :p

I have a 35" inseam and found the Corbin to lock my legs too much. Shame too, because I love Corbins. I got a Suzuki comfort seat on a swap here on the forum and it sits me up nice and high, comfortable as can be.
Either option is an upgrade over stock.
