this is on an '03 so the picture is different then the instructions but im pretty sure im on the right nut. now i already know i fail hard at life but i cant get the nut off......:'(

the ratchet and socket turn with all my strength but the nut is not moving yet nothing is stripping...

Do you have a longer ratchet or a breaker bar? Assuming you dont have rust or something else preventing it from turning, you need more leverage if you are sure you are turning the correct direction and turning the correct bolt.

Is this the bolt on the exhaust? Got a shot of where it is? If it's the one I'm thinking about, if that bold had any rust on it, the little tabs that hold the nut in place have no chance of holding... but this is just a guess with no pics to go by

i dont have anything bigger and theres no rust or anything. do i need to have someone hold something on the bolt head on the opposite side of the engine?

Yeah, you definitely need someone with a wrench holding the other side
