My Daughter's first ride on an SV.

I picked up a third SV in December for a mere $800 from a member here. When I got it, it wasn't running and needed a few things. I've spent the past month gathering up things, replacing some things that needed to be replaced and waiting on an oil stand union because my hubby gouged the one on the bike, with a screwdriver while he was taking off the oil filter. (There's a thread about it. :angry7:)

I figured as cheap as the bike was that I could part it if I couldn't get it running and still make a little money on it. I also figured that my daughter could ride it if we were able to get it going and when she falls down it won't cost an arm and leg to get it going again.

The weather finally cooperated and I took her out for her first ride on the new SV tonight. She did great and already has fallen in love with the bike. She originally had an XT225 that she learned on, but really was looking for something a little more friendly for longer distances. I'm looking forward to riding with her on some long trips. We are planning a family riding vacation this summer hopefully to WV, for a week or so. Should be fun not to leave her behind while we go off to ride some great roads.

This is she and I after we got home. It was too dark to get any really good pictures, but I'm sure there will be many opportunities to take more on future rides.

If she was 20, I wouldn't say she was too young for you, but she isn't 20. :nana:

She will be at the Midsouth rally, but not the National. (NO WAY :p) I don't think she can miss that much work this summer.
Your house looks like fun. Power tools, motorcycles, cars. Good on you.
