Mounted up '03 GXSR750 pegs on my '07 SV650n

I've search this website up and down and never found a good thread discussing other pegs to fit up to your bike without changing the rearsets.

I found a couple threads about mounting up Buell pegs but wasn't crazy them because they sat lower and I'm only 5'4" and liked the height of the stock pegs.

So I tried the Competition Werks pegs and they didn't fit out of the box, I had to drilled out the mounting hole on the pegs and even still they sat at odd angles and looked cheesy and cheep.

I finally decided to buy a nice used set of pegs off of a '03 GXSR750 which are the look I was going for in the first place. They are a little shorter in length which is fine for me because I have small feet and only ever used the inside edge of the stock pegs. The right side GXSR peg perfectly matched the brake and they also match the look of the passenger pegs. They fit up perfectly and honestly ought to be the stock pegs on a SV rather than those stock slippery ones. Best of all I was able to buy them for $15 on eBay.

Below are a bunch of photos of the pegs:

Those are awesome. I can definitely see an upgrade in grip when the pegs are side by side. Can't beat $15!
Hi michele9598, Great looking swap with the footpegs!
I've been using them on 2 of my SVs and my TL for a long time now
Looks good.

Not to sound like an a'hole, but if you rip the rubber off the stock SV pegs they look pretty much the same :).

The pegs are the same, it's just the sv ones have the rubber on top of them.
Looks like the GSX-R pegs are just a shade shorter. That my give you just a tad more lean angle before scraping pegs if you've got small feet.

though similar they are most definitely not the same.

there are several differences including shape, length, drag post and top surface even with the rubber removed.

Well don't I feel like a horse's patoot

I have an SRAD at home and I thought they were the exact same. I'll have to double check. Maybe they shortened them in the newer gens.
