Just out of curiosity, why does noone care about this when there was such an uproar over the Progressive ads? Personally it's annoying from the "there won't be any changes" standpoint, but it is far less intrusive.

yeah, it's actually coded in as a table and not a banner.
the new banner address makes it easy to block but I kinda like knowing who sponsors the site.
