Is it possible (and what is it gonna take) to put a 2nd. gen SVS motor into a 1st. gen. nekkied???
My buddy totalled his 2days ago and I might buy the bike from the insurance company.

Yes, you must swap out the flywheel and stator to gen 1 parts. You should also swap out the intake manifolds to gen 1 items. Depending on what pipe you have oil cooler clearance can be an issue. We've done it a number of times. Other than those things they mount up quite easy. ;)

Are you talking the motor and all the electronics, or just the motor?

Its pretty easy to slap the carbs on a 2nd gen and pretty much bolt it right in.

Its quite a bit more work swaping in the 2nd gen motor with all the electronics and FI.

It's an FI motor.
But he called the insurance company and they want a little too much for the bike so I don't think im gonna do it
