saw a blue 2nd gen on 695 headed towards towson around 11:30am. had dual round headlight. anyone on here?
You can't have new AND improved.

It's one or the other. If it is improved, it isn't new, just the old, but enhanced. If it's new, it isn't improved, because it isn't the old that has been changed.

Take that to the bank, not the ATM machine.

Carry on.
Saw a 2nd gen copper on 210 a few times over the last week or so...anyone here?

So, let's assume for a minute that the 2nd gen SV is better than the 1st gen. It would have been correct in 2003 to refer to a shiny 03 SV650 on the showroom floor as the "new and improved" Suzuki SV650, no?

If you disagree, then you're obviously wrong ;D
I'm surprised that he didn't give me **** for not capitalizing "maryland".
I tried making one of these for the DC area back in 04... didnt work

Blue 2nd gen SVs at work today
You guys totally agree on anything? ever?

Spotted a Blue 08N on Dundalk Ave. this evening and a different Blue SV at work this week.
YAY! I love sightings threads.

The blue sv1000N w/ dual round headlights was most definatley my friend mike. I work with him and today was his first day back riding since before winter

I saw a blue 650n parked at the intersection of york and alleghany i believe and also a silver fully faired sv on york rd I gave the rider a thumbs up out of my tow truck which he acknowledged
I have a copper 03 sv650 and tooled around on sunday but i don't know where 210 is,
i mainly stayed around randolph, new hampshire, and 198
I ride around Westminster some times, but I saw a full fairing bright yellow 1000s around olney I think?

It can be whatever I want it to be. So shut your suck. :p

We had one going for a good long time, with lots of postings before "they" "cleaned" up the the threads...

Since you've opened THAT can of worms, let me take a moment to strike your b!tch ass down.

The 2nd gen engine was changed a bit. Some would go so far as to say downgraded.

The FI is a possible improvement, mainly for those in northern climes. Otherwise, it's way too simple a system to be called better than carburation.

The frame is changed, but far from improved. The angular cross sections in the 2nd gen frame are easier and cheaper to produce than the beautiful, sexy, organically female curves of the exalted first generation model. If you like Alley McBeal, then the second gen is right up your alley, so to speak.

Don't assume anything. It make you look like an ass.

:evil6:

(edit)

I just realized that you ride a first generation thing of beauty, you heretic. I'm gonna beat you about the face and neck with a tire spoon for your sins the next time I see you.

Ummm, that's why I said "let's assume for a minute." That doesn't mean it's true...it's just for the sake of argument. You're taking engineering classes; engineers make all kinds of assumptions to make things easier on themselves. (Assume the wire is a perfect conductor and all components are ideal, etc.) Again, I'm not a fan of the 2nd gen other than the FI and maybe the taillight. However, with that (false) assumption in place, the rest of my argument holds. Don't go trying to change the subject :nana:

And for the record I'm all about curves, my friend...trust me ;)
Hey hey hey... get a room.

Oh, and if we are going to talk about superior engine designs... which we aren't because this is an "I see you!" thread and not a "My bikes better than yours!" thread, I'll simply point out that official Suzuki specs give the 2nd Gen 1.5hp and 2.4ft-lbs of tourque more than the 1st Gen. Just sayin'. :p

Pointies Fo Lyfe! :gangsign:
Well, its not really an SV sighting but, I did see about 3 different Gixxers, a BMW, an Aprilla, a Hyuabusa, and a few CBRs yesterday in my ventures around Anne Arundel County and into Fells Point.

Gettin the itch. Got to get out there soon...

RK

Oh yea, here is my gangsta sign

:thefinger:
Yeah, seeing all the bikes on the road made me upset that I have three bikes and not one of them is running...
Two things:

1) I often see the same guy headed down 295 on an SV on wednesdays at 5:30ish.
2) It CAN be new and improved. Is the product used? No? Then it's new. Is it an improvement over the old product? Isn't that a subjective question? Yup. Then I say it's improved. Thus a product can in fact be both NEW AND (freakin') IMPROVED.
