So I have been looking at slip-on exhausts for a few days and I really like the sound of the M4's but I can't seem to find a slip-on for the first gen. They only seem to have the full system. Does a M4 slip on exist for the first gen or just the second gen? If just for the second gen, has anyone fit it successfully on the first gen without many modifications?

Thanks!

It is my understanding that the 1st Gen only comes in a full system. I installed the full on my bike and it is great. Got mine from Blair over at SV Racing Parts...

That’s what I was afraid of. I don’t want to spend the money on full exhaust because I am not really looking for performance gains, I am mainly looking for sound. I would think that a slip on is a slip on, especially comparing a gen 1 to a gen 2. I would imagine the only differences would be with the mounting hardware. So that’s why I was looking to see if anyone tried putting the slip on for a gen 2 on a gen 1.

:) M4 only did the Gen One as a full system, the price is less than Gen 2 and worth it,

The full system for gen one in polished is available for $615 Shipped to your door, anywhere in the USA

$699 shipped to your door for Carbon or Titanium in Standard mount, complete and ready to bolt on,

Race Mount add $20

Let me know whenever I can help you out,

Enjoy the ride, and best regards,
Blair

Just because M4 doesn't list a slip-on, doesn't mean you can't still get it.

The M4 mid pipe will work with the stock collector on the first gen SV. All you have to do, is cut your stock muffler off at 2" from the weld (just like for every other slip-on).

The mid-pipe in SS, is around $77. Then just buy a complete muffler from M4 and strap hanger.

I did this when I was piecing together an M4 full system. I had a set of M4 headers and exhaust can, but no mid-pipe. Upon buying the mid-pipe I test fitted it to my stock collector and it fit, just fine.

Just a head's up...

:) That is a good point, the thing to remember is that you will need to do some extra work yourself,

If you go this route a Polished Standard Mount would be $399 shipped to your door, for all the parts you would need,

A Carbon or a Titanium muffler would be $499, Shipped to your door for all the parts you would need,

Email me at [email protected] whenever you are ready, and if you send me a phone number, I will be happy to give you a quick call to briefly discuss how to do it with you,

Enjoy the ride, and best
