at least the ones i have aren't.
2000 sv - shorter
2002 svs - longer

this is my experience.
I'm in need of a lower triple for my 2002 SV650S, that's the reason I'm asking. Lots of non "S" triples for sale and cheap too. If anyone has lower triple for an "S" for sale please let me know .

If there is a difference Ive never noticed it, and I usually notice.

If your saying they are different, post dims please. Shorter/ longer not descriptive enough for me  :)

Just checking- Your not thinking of upper are you? Those are different.

Will be curious to see measurements  :)

stem is longer.
i tried for an hour to get the SVS lower on my SV, but always ended up with some "slack" when tightening the upper triple on.. then finally put the two lower triples side-by-side, and realized the SVS has a longer stem.
don't have measurements tho. just know the SVS lower i have is too long.

on that note, it's available for sale if there's interest.

Isn't the difference really in the upper triple ?

that is different than what I measured.
out of 2 lower triples with stems and 2 stems alone difference is 1/4 inch.
one stem is 10 1/8 and other 10 3/8 long.
looks like I have one s model and one naked.

Ok so wait, is the difference in the lower triple or the stem? Or both?

stem lenght.triple is same except S has two treaded holes in front while naked is not drilled and tapped there.

Thats what I thought.
So then the lower triples should swap from S to naked with out a problem. Or am I missing something?

I see why not.triple is same other than two treaded holes which you dont need.stem would also work if you use washer on top of upper bearing.I just did this, mounted longer s triple to naked model and used washer.
