I'm considering buying a new bike once I get back from my deployment Iraq. I'm a pretty big guy (6'4 215 lbs) and my naked SV650 feels small. I'm a big fan of naked bikes. What are some options that you guys recommend? I've heard that the ktm duke 690 or 990 are a little taller, but there aren't any KTM dealers in my area so I haven't been able to sit on one. Any suggestions?

Short of the 1k Vstrom or BMW K1200RS or the 'busa not sure what to tell ya... I dunno if the busa is so much taller but the stretch is a bit more but it is not too naked...

The Dual sports are pretty much all I can think of...

I think the KTM Adventure is probably the tallest out there..I think it's got a 36" seat height. Some of the Beemers are tall too

you might want to try 1 inch raising links, their super easy to install, i've got them on my bike and it feels a bit bigger.
Hate to thread jack, but how do they affect handling? i might be interested in some..33 inch
inseam here. Also Pete09 you may consider a B king depending upon how much you want to
spend, the bike feels big, but is surprisingly comfortable to sit on...on a side note its true that some of the sport bikes, the GSXR for example seem to get smaller as the years pass if you look at one from say 5-6 years ago vs today, they are a lot leaner looking/feeling.i too like a bike that feels like your sitting on more than a frame with wheels.

My Ulysses is plenty roomy for me. I'm 6' even, 230-ish (depending on the season) with a 32" inseam. With the stock 2006 I cannot flat foot it with both feet. Now with the lower 2007 seat on it, I can get 2/3's of my feet down. Seat height is like 33" with a rider.

But like other's have said, get out there and sit on the bikes.
