dont know if this is the right place but:

my friend just got a CBR 1000 (2008)
with very low km's

he is noticing odd things, chain and sprocket changed, loose plastics, front pads
changed, air box fiddled with etc etc

he thinks bike has been tracked and put back together

So my question is if you remove speedo head from an SV will no KM's show or does the computer store them.
There are a few SV's Id like to look at but low km's on an 03 bike rings
alarms.

thanks in advance

How "low" is low, there are a lot of people that own bikes and put on maybe a thousand or so per year.

But to answer your question, yes if you unplug the speedo senser then the miles don't rack up, nor will you have speed obviously.

low km
eg would be a 2003 with under 10k

seems most of that age 20k to 40k in the for sale adds out here
prices from 3500 (looks like a re-build) to 5000

I would like a second generation with a 1/2 fairing and a grab bar for
passenger, I've noticed not all have the bar. Option ? or aftermarket?

cheers

To answer your question about the bar, its standard equipment. Some people take them off to put solo cowls on where the passenger seat would normally be. You can oftentimes find grab bars for sale here on the forums.
