It happens, shim out the fairing.
That is the idea right now. We are looking at 1" or so spacer. We need to file down the mount as much as possible to get it to clear the pipe. Then we need to find a spacer to make it work. We will also need some heat tape to reflect the heat off the fairing.

Anyone have some pics of any solutions?

Is there any fear of having the fairing stressed along that lower portion from being spaced out there?

So TurboJoe and I set out to install his Leo Vince full system on his 2005. He has the Suzuki lowers on it. It seems the LV collector and the lower right fairing mount want to occupy the same space. Anyone have any experience with this?

This may change my mind on the LV. SBK? Where'd you buy it & what mount?

Thanks.

works great

i'll get pics of the actual underside tomorrow (i know your still waiting)

a 3" cut off wheel

and no i didn't touch anyhting up
i had taped it off of course
and then it's all about steady hands

when you cut at that stuff, it kinda just bunches itself up...it doens't really crack or run

after the cut i just kinda took off the excess......hit the edges real lightly with the wheel

then used some 1000 sandpaper (wet) and kinda just touched it up

you can't notice at all

but i am plannin on painting later....so i wasn't too worried about it

but even if i wasn't goin to paint...i would still feel comfortable with the way i did it

Please forgive the slight thread jack, but it sort of applies.

Would an M4 high mount full exhaust get in the way of an OEM chin spoiler? Since this is part of the plan I thought I'd better ask.

Thanks

What is that black piece you have attached to the pipe before the can?
yea thats a lil carbon fiber piece that came with the exhaust
it keeps my shoe from melting to the exhaust

it's just raw carbon fiber
i guess if tey had put clear of anythign on it it would have melted off

Hum.. That must be something you only get with the full system. I have the Carbon SBK slip-on and it didnt come with that D:

I've been considering upgrading mine to a full system.

Anyone have this same problem with just the lower chin faring, i have been riding for a month without it and it seems like I would have to cut a lot off to make it fit again.
