Can anyone think of potential issues if I lengthen the throttle body rubber boots between the TB and the heads?

Not concerned with the airbox to tank contact - more so what specifically with change with the power curve and any potential adverse effects.

Unpredictable. Rule of thumb says your curve will move "down RPM", that is, it will get fatter at a lower RPM. However, there are too many factors in tuned intakes to say that's what will happen. You could lose torque all across the range, it could bump up just a tad, who knows?

Exactly what I was thinking - hence my wondering and slight concern.

I don't know if I need to do it yet, but if I do I guess I will post some dyno specs prior to a tune.
