I have a 2002 SV and im trying to get it to run properly. I cleaned the rust out of the fuel tank and cleaned the carbs. The fuel mixture screw on the front is set at about 3 and 3/8 and the rear is about 3 and 1/8 turns out. I had both screws at 3 but it was running too lean. Bike has an aftermarket exhaust from the previous owner but thats the only mod I believe. I replaced the spark plugs recently too. It ran without the airbox while i was syncing the carbs, but it acted like it wanted to die when i gave it partial throttle. After i put it all back together it died on idle and now it dies anytime i give it throttle. I sprayed it down with brake clean and couldnt find any vacuum leaks. Not sure what my problem is here so I’d appreciate any input.
