I got a set of rearset lowering plates that lower the pegs .5-1 inches, and as a result my shifter ends up in a very awkward place with the shift rod connected in the 'from the factory' position. I pulled the rod off and changed its orientation so that the shifter is in a more natural spot, but i can't help but think that this new positioning will somehow cause some funky action inside my transmission that will eventually lead to its demise. Can you guys let me know if this looks like it will work or if it will end up destroying something important, expensive and/or hard to replace?

I wouldnt sweat it, I would be more concerned with your missing shift peg

yeah, that's in the works as we speak. apparently the shifter I got online isn't threaded right. I just want to make sure that's ALL that I need.

you know your shift pattern changed, right?

i would move that pinch bolt on the shaft splines forward a bit.
