That's such a crappy picture that it could be an '07. The two blues aren't that far off.

edit: That is an '05. Look at the sticker on the frame underneath the tank. '07s had a black sticker with white text.

I was going to say, I don't think I can tell by the crappy pic, I'm inclined to believe it could be an 07.

I only payed $600 more(before fees/tax) for my 07 svs last year, so it's not that big of a deal I don't think.

looks like false advertisement. walk in and go to the new ones and say you'll take it. get an 08, they would have to honor their price in the mag.

after all your dealer fees, fluids, safety check, tax, registration, blah blah blah, it's still going to be ~$6,100. not that big a steal. i got my 08 for "$4,800", but ended up being 6350 out the door (chicago taxes suck...10.5%)

Sorry dude but paying over $1000 in "fees" is a rip off, that is definitely not the norm. 10.5% on $4800 is a little over $500, so the rest was fees. You should go kick your salesman in the nuts...

Its quite possible they do have a new 05 laying around, I bought my 01 brand new in 03. I got a pretty sweet deal on it too.

Exactly, new means never sold/registered, not the current model year. I picked up my 04 when the 06's came out for about 4K+the tax/reg I had to pay at DMV.

$4800+850= $5650

$6350-5650= $700

you got fooked in the boot sucka
? I don't understand. I get that you're saying I didn't get a decent deal, and the first line is what this one would have been plus my fees and such, but what's the 2nd line for, the $700?

Also, mine is a s model, and it was a year newer at the time. Lastly, if I really wanted a "good deal" I would have bought used.

I think Tankrider said there were three brand new 08 SVs in our area for either $4,499 or $4,999

They need to sell them. Badly.
I haven't seen any '08s for sale here in probably 8-9 months.

560 was tax, 103 was title and registration, and 160 was county/city doc fees (thanks chicago). bike was actually 4899, so call it 650 in fees. whatever, could be worse. shopped 3 dealers against each other, and lowest quote i could beat out of them was 6150, but that dealer had a history of throwing in old batteries, and reusing oil. sketchy, so i foot an extra 200.

you said it yourself that you paid 850 for fees on a bike that they told you that you were getting for 4800. to get the the total actual out the door price that you paid, you have to add in another 700.
