Is newer better? Seems to me that all manufactures including Suzuki all other mid to lower level entry bikes now they’ve converted most of them to steel frame steel bolts that are not even hollowed out solid axles if you look at a 1999 as a chassis is all aluminum very precisely welded subframes detachable proper geometry linkage etc. this is why it was such a great race bike . If you break down the new SV 650 into 4 categories weight material performance technology You will notice we are crawling out of the stone age! Looking the way cars are evolving mainly on the safety side collision awareness etc. All aluminum pick up trucks direct injection ,dual clutch technology . Maybe I’m asking too much of middle-age I have the money to buy a new bike but every time I go to buy a new bike it seems like it’s just a bunch of plastic wrapped around a Paper clip scrap metal same as the 80 but not as bad as the 70s let me know what you think piece!
