:disappointed::disappointed::disappointed::disappointed:

So with everyone's help on here, I pieced back the carbs and was ready to test it out. I took out the engine intake plugs the PO had put on and looked inside...

This is what I saw:

Is this beyond fixing for a weekend mechanic warrior? Looks like the valves have rusted/tons of varnish on it.

Any hope in like pooring some carb cleaner in there or seafoam or anything?

Should I began the parting out process?

I had a GS500 that looked similar to that when I bought it. I figured I might as well ride it and see what happens. I put 9k miles and 5 track days on it without an issue.

I'm no engine expert, so take that for what it's worth.

If the valves are closed then there is a good chance that it will clean up using Dave's method and you should be good. Honestly what have you got to lose at this point. Try it and fire it up!!

Now if that corrosion has made it's way into the cylinder, you will know very quickly upon start up, or lock up; which ever happens first. :dontknow:
