Integrated Turn Signal Mirrors and Hot Bodies undertail

Hooray! The first thing Ive bought to change my SV came in today.

So Im ready to replace the old mirrors with the new shiny ones.

Since Ive never taken anything on the bike apart I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I need to take off to remove the mirrors and turn signals.

Im so excited!

Figured it out.

They are pretty awesome. Nice and bright too.

Check it!

Sorry Im such a goober.... :nosepick:

The undertail was already installed by the previous owner. So I really don't know anything about installation or price, but it looks great!

Congrats, they look good. What kind of bike did they come off of and how much were they?
Got them off of ebay. Just an aftermarket part. $59 and change shipped. I would suggest getting extenders with them as they dont give you anymore coverage then the stockers.

I still cant see anything except my own elbows but at least I have sweet signals.

looks like you need a resistor.. or swap out a set of the flashers for bulbs... that will slow down the flashing rate.... I have an integrated tail but bulb light flashers and it is fine for flash rate... that thing is like a strobe...

a resistor should fix it up for ya though....

otherwise I;ve thought of doing the same kind of thing... no one sees a bike so I figure duplicating flashers in the mirrors along with the side ones should help...

I do like the integrated tail with the side flashers though.... I might do the mirrors sometime too....

Just wondering how you mounted them? Did you use the stock mirror base and somehow install the new mirrors into them? From the ebay ad it looks like they only have 1 long bolt on the end of the mirror to screw into the fairing.

There are N versions and S versions on there. I bought the S versions.

Looks good. One question for the S model, how did you run the wire? or hide it? Is it possible to post pics of one of the mirrors unbolted to show how the wire is ran through the fairing?

I drilled a hole underneath the mount just big enough for the wire to fit through. I used 4 different bits starting from the smallest so I didn't go any bigger then needed.

I don't have any pics with me but Ill take some and put them up when I get home.

Check back around 5pm mountain time.

Nice install... Thanks for the picks. I think I know what I am adding to my list of improvements. Another thing to buy and have waiting to be installed when I return to the United States.
