So I was riding and thinking yesturday. I have my tank raised so I slipped my fingers under it to feel the air temp. My poor baby is really sucking in some hot air! I was wondeirng if anyone had a way to pull some cooler air in there? The air temps must be about 30-40 degrees hotter under the tank than outside!

I was thinking about cutting a hole in the top of the tank above the air box and welding in a piece of tubing... this would allow the air box to suck air straight down and not have to draw it across the frame & tank (which are hot).

Using the correct size tubing it would also make a nice bevarage holder 8)

Donnie,
That would be awesome! I think that would be so cool to match the top of the filter. That is a lot of work...have to change the tank lid probably.

I run flat slides though...so that wouldnt really help me. I have that speedwerks ram air kit. I was thinking about installing just the carbon fiber tray part to help block some of the heat.

What I really want to do is figure out a way to duct air in along the raised sides of the tank.
