IL CCW (concealed carry) bills act now

You guys had better support this bill. Here in Wisconsin its, it's nearly impossible to get a CCW. One reason why I haven't bought a gun yet.

support is a must, i have my ccw and carry often, sd is good about it so far not alot of hoops to jump through

IL and WI are the only states left that do not allow any form CCW. 48 out of 50 come on get with the program.

Yeah....we know....

With all the UBER-LIBERALS in chicago and madison...and almost no support from even the hunters(as they dont care to carry a gun unless they are hunting) were pretty much screwed....

Hopefully some people on another site i frequent are going to setup an 'open carry' walk in madison....get this on the media and bring some attention to the horrid jumble of laws concerning open carry in wisconsin and either have it known that open carry is LEGAL and that we wont be hasseled with DC tickets OR get CCW passed so i can take the **** class...

if only it would pass.

WI is a unique situation. We have RKBA in the state constitution, the statutes say concealed carry is illegal and open carry is legal. There have been a number of cases where CCW has been thrown out of court as unconstitutional, and there is currently one in the court system where open carry has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Currently in WI, with Doyle as Governor and the Democrats in the Assembly, CCW is not going to happen anytime soon. The state police are rumored to be not charging anyone with CCW (A class A misdemeanor) unless they can charge you with something more serious too, and a good lawyer could probably get it thrown out. Our best option right now is to defeat Abrahamson in the April 7 elections, and put Randy Koschnick on the WI Supreme Court.

Combine this crap with winter and I need to move south (farther than IL)

I had heard that WI got in LOTS of trouble, like, feds threatening to pull highway $$ trouble because they were not honoring the federal law enforcemnt protection act(might not be the right name ) that bushed signed saying all active and retired in good standing LEO's can CCW anywhere in the nation

and they were confiscating guns from out of state cops and destroying them

Don't believe everything you hear. In WI it's legal for retired and off Duty LEO to CCW under the Law Enforcement Safety Act (that's WI law, not Federal)

Not trying to offend (I am European).. but why do you need guns in the first place? I never understood that. I am married to an American, but she doesn't believe in guns either. Anyhow, not trying to start anything.

The 2nd amendment in the Bill of rights, "A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed"

The bill of rights and the constitution is the fabric of which the United States of America was founded on, give me that right. Notice it is a right not a privilege. This means that I have the right to be able to protect myself and my family but more so on a higher level to defend this country be it foreign or domestic. In a nut shell it gives the people the means to protect themselves even against our own government if need be. Think that cant happen. Hitler and many others, first thing to do is remove guns from the populous.

Crime look at the U.K. and Australia and many other nations the have banned guns now have crime spiraling out of control. They all want them back. America take head to that one.

I could go on but if you dont understand it by now you probably wont.

Another interesting tid bit most folks probably don't know. Guns (arms) are the only physical piece of personal property that is mentioned in these documents. Not houses, land, money...... everything else are ideas or freedoms type things. i.e. freedom, speech.....

The founding fathers felt it so important to include it.

You can add NJ to that list..... no way.... no how ....

I will be getting my Florida Non-Resident as soon as I can.... Still wont allow me to carry in NJ..... but who knows in the future

NJ is a may issue state. It may be hard to get but its is allowed.
Have you looked at Utah its a btter deal $ wise

Yes.... it is listed as a "may" issue......... but the odds of actually getting it are actually worse then hitting the Pick-6

Any ?'s as well as supporting the AWB he voted to ban all handguns in IL.

Needs to be like a drivers license. Good across the board as well as the castle doctrone.
