Okay guys, I need some help. I have a hugger that was purchased by someone else for me as a gift around christmas. They said it was for an SV1000 and that is what they thought I had. Needless to say it didn't fit. However, it doesn't appear that it fits the 1000s either...

I need some input from everyone on what the distance between their mounting bolts on their chain guard is. I have the first gen measurements covered, so really I need an 03 650 and 1000 and then an 04+ 650 and 1000.

The magic distance we are looking for here is 7.25". That is what my hugger is.

Matt,

On my '07 N, the spacing between two bolts (as shown in the photo above) is about 8" ... or, more likely 205mm if measured in metric.

Hope this helps,
.. Gregg

(edit: Oops, I see Eddie posted the same time as I did. At least our numbers agree.)

Okay, so I am thinking now that it may be from a TL. 2G swingers have the tabs for the hugger welded on, and my hugger bolts directly into the swinger like on a first gen. However, since it doesn't fit my 650 and I was told it was for a 1000, I am guessing it is for a TL.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Where are all the TL havers?
