I have tipped my bike over many times. Always at 0 mph, sometimes running, sometimes not.
It has never stopped running or failed to start after one of these brain-f**ts.
I like it that way, anybody agree?

I prefer to not drop my bike. But if I do, I like my fuel pump to not pump gas all over the place should a hOse be damaged

I agree completely, but I see all the threads where this sensor caused a problem,
as opposed to preventing one, and in terms of risk assessment...

True, but the problems are usually related to someone not securing it well. Not an actual failure of the sensor

What years have tip-over sensor?

I'm pretty sure your bike has one Steve. I believe there is a built in delay (a few seconds?, to keep from accidentally killing power from monentary jolts), might explain why the bike didn't cut off.
