Was looking at a '03 1000S for sale locally. Said in ad he changed the clutch from cable to hydraulic. Anybody able to tell me what would be the benefit/s of doing that. I have been looking around Wikipedia, Google, and the like, just trying to find a good definition of it, just wondering what the pros or cons of that setup would be, thanks in advance for any useful info.

Interesting. I thought that the SV1K came with a hydraulic clutch, not a cable. :dontknow:

...But what do I know. I ride a girls bike. :p

Thank you, that's what I thought too, but he said he changed it over to hydraulic. Maybe he just wrote it out wrong, dunno. Thanks

All 1000's came with the hydraulic clutch's, maybe he put a SS line on it, or maybe he changed the slave cylinder???
