If you like the look of this new bike, you're probably old. I like it. (I'm old).

It's cool. Not enough that I would actually buy one, but it's still cool. Looks like they're using the same head pipe design as on the 650, which is about the best looking setup on the market today. I'm definitely old (be 68 in about 3 weeks), but just not into the past. Was there, did it, had fun, but don't miss it.. ;)

I think it looks great. It looks very much like the 1980 CB 750-F I lusted for, instead I bought a silver '81 Suzuki GS650E.
I turned 68, six weeks ago.
Doubtful that I'd buy one, see no need for the electric clutch gizmo. Besides, I already have a vintage looking, air cooled Honda, 2014 CB 1100.

Im a partial antique and i like it,
no offences to anyone but the sharp
angled look of modern bikes isnt
my thing aesthetically.

Doesnt mean i wouldnt own one.

Always liked the Vtrs too. Even the Vtr250 is a nice looking twin.

No fan of rider modes either,
but glad they are there for those that are.

Im no fan of abs and got told off here for it lol.
Our bikes dont need it not heavy enough really.

The Honda is a nice looking naked. (y) :)

On a humourous [im such a dumbask] side note i found the
original toolkit when i took my battery out the other day,

there i was thinking you had to remove the seat/side covers &
battery to get to the toolkit?
Cos thats how i found it right?

Im fiddling round thhe bike noticed a little plastic
plug on the side of the plastic
battery box,
pressed it in to see what happens,
lid pops off the side,
and theres the tool bag---> duh,  :cautious::rolleyes::unsure::ROFLMAO:

so thats how you get it out!!!

haha

felt like such a numbnut,

but nobody told me thats how you get to it,

and im thinking gosh what a hassle having to
remove the seat/side covers etc & battery just
to acces the toolkit?

& how can you if you have no tools from the tool kit?

Hahahaha.....duh......:rolleyes::LOL::LOL::LOL:

I guess I have to start off with...63 and counting. For those approaching 70 (and older of course!), I'm always impressed of those who (can) continue to ride. A testament to thinking your age...not really living the actual numbers...otherwise it can get depressing!

I like that Honda but would likely never own it...and for that matter...most of the newer bikes with all the electronic controls/modes. I can still stick to buying bikes that are about 20 years old or older and wrench on most of the things myself.

One last comment on the Honda...they should have casted in fins (even just slightly raised ones) on the cylinder and head. From a distance viewing the bike, it would probably have looked air cooled which I think would have really added to the retro look.

It wasn't. I only seen a couple 350/4s, both on showroom floors. They made a 550/4 too, and I used to see them around once in a while. Most people went for the 750 though.
And it's always interesting how different countries/areas get different bikes. We got the 350/4, but you didn't, and you get the 500 that this post is about, but we don't. We do get a CB/CBR500, but it's a parallel twin. Wonder how the boardroom conversation goes as they decide who gets what.

Jeez, I'd love to be 68 again:)
You might be old if you get up in the morning and the first thing you do is not run out and get cheap sunglasses. It's hit the start button on the coffee machine, grab the warm house jacket, and go take a leak. Pat cat. Sit down drink coffee.

Not might- IS/ARE. (y)

Yes-4 coffees not 1. :ROFLMAO:

Preferably in bed first.
Then try to get up.....take your jarmies off by say lunchtime,
good to go!

into the lounge at least.......
