Do you already have the stock length dogbones?

If so, it's pretty easy with the rear wheel off.

 

1: Jack up the bike.

2: Take off rear wheel (makes it easier)

3: loosen dog bone bolts and pull them out. Take off old dog bones.

4: Lift swingarm (or lower) while you are putting the new bones on. Moving swingarm up or down makes it easier to get the holes to line up. Having the rear wheel off makes it easier on you to raise or lower the swingarm.

5: tighten it up, put wheel back on, take it off the lift, and go ride.

 

Last time i did remove my dogbones i had my bike on a rearstand and a jack under the engine.

 

Do you have the stock shock on the bike?

 

Everything is stock on my bike.
slip-on,oil and better springs are next.
I'm going to shave my seat to get one or two inches off.
