So, I am thinking of going to the muffler shop tomorrow to have my muffler chopped. I can not stand the whisper of this bike anymore. I have neither the tools (at school) or the technical confidence to pull this off, thusly I am going to the pro.

So, my question;

How much should a muffler chop cost? I am hoping no more than $50

Are you wanting them to cut the can off and rivet it back together? or just take out the baffle?

I'd think the chopping it off and riveting it back together will cost you more than $50. Taking the baffle out might not. But, honestly, I'm just guessing based on how long it will take to do both jobs.

Buy a slip on first!!
You can chop it for about $10, and you get a free hacksaw and blades along with that.

Muffler chops are free only if you do them yourself. If you're going to pay, order a slip on.
