Does High Mount Exhaust affect anything preformance wise?? is it better than traditional mounting?

Any links to a high mount deep sounding exhaust for my 2001 I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I don't have anything as far as recordings of my pipe but I have the satin-black high-mount Holeshot exhaust and everyone tells me it sounds baddass... here's a link to what it looks like :

As far as performance goes I don't notice any loss, in fact with my jet kit and other mods the airflow is good... however unless you get a full system (which Holeshot don't offer) you won't get any increase in power just from the pipe alone... but honestly I don't think you'd notice any difference... I prefer the High-Mount because it looks better...

As far as companies go, Holeshot rock, Dale Walker (the owner) is a cool guy, really helpful and friendly, plus the price is right because he's a smaller company rather than some big corporate company who's service sucks and who sets the price high to make their product seem better than the cheaper ones... my opinion atleast... ;)

IMO the high mounts look better, just my opinion. But I have seen that high mounts can actually rob you of upto a few horse power, due to the sharp bend, as compared to the gentle bend of a low mount can. I've never put a low mount can on my 01, and have never seen an actual dyno of a low mount can for a first gen sv. I'm just basing this off what I have seen on other bikes like RC's, and inline 4's. Get what you think looks the best, and sounds the best. If its gonna be a track bike, get a high mount. And as far as burning your fiance's leg, I have seen a couple ways to force the exhaust out a lil so you can keep the footpegs. I have a yosh RS-3 Race exhaust, not a super high mount, and I could still ride 2 up, if there was a rear seat, and subframe, LOL....

Do you understand what mandrel bent means?? ???

Okay so which flows better and faster?? a 5' mandrel bent figure 8 3" pipe or a 8' straight 3" pipe??
