Hi everybody. I'm Sammy live in California and just got a Suzuki SV650S from a buddy. It's been sitting in storage for 4 years and is taking a bit of work to get it back up and running. Hoping to learn a lot from the other members on this site. Thanks and please be gentle if I can't find and ask a stupid question.

Hi slevuong, I too received an sv650 that has been sitting for 5 years now. I would love to know what are your plans to get it back up and running!

From what I have gathered so far:
- Drain fuel
- Check tank / anywhere that fuel is located for rust/corrosion.
- Clean/replace fuel filters.
- Check airbox/exhaust
- Look down throttle bodies for crap
- Check brakes for air in lines
- Replace battery
- Check wiring
- Replace tires on my bike due to cracking.
- Check fuel injectors (kinda vague)
- New oil, gas, antifreeze
- Also have seen some recommendations to add some sort of oil to engine cylinders and/or other parts to help lube them up

Comments/Suggestions?

Cheers, Smurf
