Google says it’s off an Aprilla 250

The question that immediately pops into my mind.. How in the world did an Aprillia 250 shock find it's way onto an SV650?🤔 😄

 

Is it right length, stock shock from memory is 420mm long

Is the '03 different from the rest of the Gen 2 family? I know they have a unique subframe, but didn't think it went any deeper than that. Shock length on a Gen 2 is 330mm center to center of the mounting holes.
And yeah, if it's the 250 Aprilia I'm thinking of, it's an old school 2 stroke race bike. Same class/type as a Yamaha TZ250. Going to be quite a bit lighter than an SV650..
