Good day,

Just posting an introduction. I am currently in the market for a bike and have pretty much settled on the SV650, just need to find a good deal. Look forward to learning as I read and hopefully getting to know everyone.

Cheers,

Thank you for the responses all. I am located in Hot Springs, about 1h west of Little Rock. However, my job keeps me on the road most of the time, so for the time being ride time will be low (hopefully this changes soon!)

ARMountaintRidder, svader: look forward to meeting you! Will hope to make a midsouth ride soon (after getting the bike, of course (; ).

tlc4diving, thank you for the link. Does look nice, will have to add it to my short list. Have gotten seriously interested in 2 that were posted on the forums here recently, right before they both got pulled off the market!

Well, just came up with a deal for a 2003 SV650S Copper. Won't be able to see it for about 2 weeks (have to get some time off to go pick it up) but am looking forward to it!

/dance, hoping to be able to make the meet.

Hey, I'm from AR as well, Eureka Springs and Fayetteville. There are some incredible roads out there, like the section of Hwy. 7 in between 60 and...I can't remember the other hwy. It's amazing, though. I live on the central coast of CA now. There are some good roads out here, but more traffic and potholes. However, there are also about 10 tracks. :) You can't go wrong with an SV! They can do 1000 mile days, pick up groceries, take a girl for a cruise, explore a fire road (a well maintained fire road), or embarrass Nexus242 on GSX-Rs. Good luck buying one.

Fry, have to agree with you, there are a ton of good roads that should be fun in AR.

Blcrider, going to make the meet coming up?

Have a deposit down on the `03 Copper, plan is to pick it up on the 16th. Hoping to be able to work the mid-south meet into the schedule in May!

I will not acknowledge Shipscat until my bank account recovers fully from the beating she forced it to take recently. So if she is a hindrance to full acceptance in this community, I will happily disown her! ;D

Hwy 10 is the other road. I think. I road that section twice today taking the long way to work. 150 miles.

JKrepps me you and Blcrider need to get together once you get the bike.
