Hello, I just fiiinally got my bike (03 650S) back with the new motor installed. I am definitely super eager to ride it, but, I pulled in to a blockbuster and when I came out and fired it up, my headlights didn't turn back on! Also, my left blinkers are both permanently lit up, and my gauges say my left blinkers and brights are on. So far I've only wiggled the connections under the front fairing, pressed all the buttons, and punched it a little. Tomorrow Im going to check the fuses and maybe dig under the fairing if I have to... I am also missing a bulb for my right front blinker, could that have caused it? My speedo and gas light still work. Any one have any ideas before I dig in to this tomorrow would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i had a intermittent lights out problem for awhile, and i just wiggled them back to life when they went out. till one day when i pulled in to the garage and smelt burning plastic, investigated and the headlight pin in the wiring harness was burnt, the plug was all black and burnt on the corner where the pin was. i cut the wire, and ran the connection around the pin with some stuff i had in the garage, problem solved.

ok, I gave the connectors one more chance. I poked around at the wires for the left blinker and headlight under the front fairing. It was the connector for the lights on the front left side of the bike. My gauges went back to normal and everything functioned properly. Apparently those wires can cause some stupid problems with a bad connection. So I hope this helps someone out if they maybe get the same problem. Thanks for the responses.
