I have been thinking of checking out the top speed of my sv650 cafe racer on the salt.
Its only 3months away so I don't think 2022 will be a thing but may be 23.
Has any one done it, is it a worth while experience ?
Also any technical advice or tips would be interesting.

I totally forgot that thread even existed.😆

That day we were transporting the bikes from Utah to California and weren't expecting to ride them so we didn't even have any gear with us. As soon as we saw the flats to our right by I-80 we were too tempted not to try it at least. I don't think we dared going faster than 30 or 40 MPH, though. But at least I can say I rode on the flats once.

I'm am currently putting a 1/2 fairing on my bike. I was just thinking streamlining, and I wondering if mounting the head light 1 or 2 inches back ducting air from the high pressure area dead ahead may reduce drag or maybe help stability like the hole in the centre of old style parachutes. Might look a bit like a Mig 15.:D Cool even if its never on the salt.
Anyone think this would help or hinder.
