My statement was not aimed at anyone specific, just a general thought. Sorry.
My shock has 35 clicks of rebound, at least 24 clicks of low speed compression, plus high speed compression, ride height and spring preload, and I'll admit it can be a bit overwelming. I'm trying to get set up also.
It's easy to say "well my bike doesn't handle" and immediately start adjusting the suspension.
There are many other factors to consider first. Do you have good tires with proper inflation? Are your steering head bearings in good nick and properly tightened? Is your chain too tight, which can affect swingarm movement? Sometimes a "bad" handling bike is really poor rider input, body positioning, or simply gripping the bars too tight.
Just a couple more things for you to think about.
