I was going to try using 06/07 600 forks and bottom triple with a 05 600 calipers and wheel/rotor with customized top triple and SV handlebars etc (to have gold tubes with gold calipers and still having newer and easier to find forks) but reading the charts i'm starting to think it's not gonna fit...

but if i'm using 05 caliper/rotor they should fit? i just don't know about mounting the caliper on the forks since the hole locations would not line up and machining a caliper might not be the best idea.:repost:

No, fork legs are different between 06/07 and 04/05. Mounting ears are shorter on newer forks. Bolting caliper on is not problem, they bolt right on. Only problem is height of caliper in relation to rotor you using.

And you can get custom caliper spacers (or machined calipers) from TWF Racing if you need them - you just need to send an email with your wheel, forks & caliper selection & he will either supply you with the correctly sized spacers, or tell you to ship your calipers for machining* if applicable.
(or get bigger rotors)

Nice illustrations Jeff, really cleared things up.

So it's possible to make pre 04 GSXR radial by swapping spindles given they fit on the slider?
Hope your joking. It'd be a ton of work, if not impossible to swap out the spindles. It may be possible to swap the slider and spindle, but the question is why not just get different fork legs?

The spindle is the axle
The fork bottoms are swap-able between some models, but questionable whether worth the effort.
The biggest problem is getting the bolt out of the bottom and having something to clamp the slider securely while unscrewing the bottom.

Unless you have a lot invested in performance internals, you may as well just swap the whole legs out.
