The 600srad 97-00 the 750srad 96-99, the first gen busa and I think, but I might be wrong the TL s/r.

 

thanks guys, so know if I understand this right I need specificly an 03 gsxr 750 axle, then any upper and lower triple that are the right diameter (making sure to match their offset too) a wheel feom a 2001 or newer gsxr, and brakes still from a number of sources but should probably get my triples first before planning the brakes

I couldn't load the 2010 Parts Fiche, but certainly 11+ 600/750 wheels have 22mm axle; the 1000 has 25mm

 

Is there even 2010 model or is that just 09 left overs. I thought suzuki did not make any 2010's.

Might be a mislabeled '11 wheel. So my option is to get an '05-'07 wheel?

 

I'm missing the spacer off my axle that I bouht 1000 K5, is there anything else I can just use to space it? Or should I just hold out and order from suzuki?

 

You should get the proper spacer unless you have someone who can make one for you to OEM spec - it fits in the grease seal on the right side, so the OD is just as important as the length that determines the spacing. Also, that spacer is what determines your wheel center, so should be correct dimensionally.

30 is closer to stock than 32

 

So I'm replacing my bent forks on my naked 2002 with a GSXR front end. I'm looking at some 2009 GSXR 750 forks. But most of the charts don't go to this year, so I'm slightly confused (or maybe it's because my head bounced off the guardrail ). Does anyone know what wheels fit these forks? Just about any correct? It's just the rotors have different bolts (5 vs 6) between the 08-10 wheels, and the earlier ones, right? What about newer wheels, say 11-12?

 

I'm running 09 forks with an 05 wheel. You got that right about the rotor bolt spacing on older ones.

 

Another question. On my current naked SV front-end I have Galfer stainless lines. Can I reuse these with the 09 GSXR 750 M/C and brakes? I'm keeping the handlebars. I'm concerned because the SV master banjo exits to the side and the GSXR banjo exits down. Will the naked lines have enough length to make the turn, or do I need lines with a 90 fitting on the master end?

What is the best looking and most discreet way for aesthetics and funtion of Installing Steering Stops with this combination of Frame and 2006 GSXR Front End?

Excuse my as-yet unfamiliarity with some subtleties of the SV configurations

Can you show me a picture of current stop(s) on the frame?
Is it a single stop at 12 o'clock or twin stops at an angle on the head?

Refer to the link in my post above for my Triumph Daytona - if twin fixed stops on the frame , a similar design is possible.

If it's a single fixed stop on the frame at 12 o'clock, the design is quite similar but instead of the bolt-on bump stop operating on the outside facets of the block , visualize it would have an included angle with a slot where it would contact the block at extremes of travel on the now inside facets.

A local shop has a front end + wheel from a 2006 gsxr 600, but the pic that the guy sent me has the ignition offset to the right like a 04/05. I honestly don't care which year it is as long as it all fits. Did some of the 06 gsxrs use an offset ignition?

 

Like the post above says, youcan use an 05/06 1000 top triple to maintain the steering lock. It has a center mounted ignition.

 

No. 06 600/750 are left mounted, which lets you lock the steering with the wheel dead ahead on a 1st gen. 1000 is center mounted, which gives you a conventional steering lock.

I believe it all works, including the head nut.

New bearings wouldn't be a bad idea.

 

If i remember correctly, you must use gsxr hardware for this swap. The bearings on the 2nd gen, and gsxr are same, but while your in there, might as well replace with new.

 

Ok so I have an 01 GSXR-1000 wheel and front end. I am going to 06 GSXR-1000 forks.

I got a new axle to match the forks. I know that will work with the wheel.

I got an 08 R6 master cylinder + a set of 04-06 R1 calipers that I'll be using. Same as 06+ R6. Zoran at TWF is making me a set of spacers for the calipers to run the 320mm discs on the 01 wheel.

My question is what size and length bolts do I need to get to mount the calipers. Does anyone know if M10 x 1.25 x 80 are correct?

 

Whatever R6 bolts are + 5mm.
