I did some searching and didn't find anything (might be a sign). I was considering picking up a stock can on ebay from either a 08-09 GSXR 600/750 or the right side of a 07-08 GSXR 1000 (I like the black). They seem to be relatively cheap, and if all I have to do is fabricate a mid pipe I can manage that. Any ill effects? Anyone try this and can point me to the thread?

Someone did this a while back, I want to say it was jbswear but I could be wrong. They posted pictures of it not too long ago. You can try and find some pics of his bike, photobucket is blocked at work or I'd look.

jbswear has a GSXR exhaust but it is a 1st gen and I believe he welded it.

After a little more researching and thinking and looking, am I correct in assuming it's going to be loud w/o the manifold/chamber/whatever it's called? i'm thinking the stock exhaust isn't exactly a "muffler" as much as it's a can?

my GSXR can is as loud as any other straight through slip on that is specific for the SV
