Preferably with the bike standing up, and you sitting on it.

No... I need to find out what the stock SV ground clearance is. My rear end is raised, trying to see how much room I have to work with to do an underbelly exhaust.

That and I have a habit of hopping curbs.

Many cars are between 4-5" at the minimum. I would assume that a similar number would be suitable for a bike.

If you're worried about curbs, just do trig. Find out the wheelbase of the bike, the height of the curb and then the maximum effective height of the curb compared to the bike.
