Hello all,

Any one got any advice for painting the grab rail. I want to paint it satin black but I'm not to sure if it would be OK to paint over the lacquer.

Should I remove the lacquer first before I prime it!!!. Common sense tells me to remove it first.

Any advice welcome.

Scuff it, paint it, ride it.

Scuffing it is a good idea but I would also recommend priming it as well.

Looked into powder coating the chrome exhaust covers but have since aborted the idea...I have an airbrush but found out it wouldn't work with the powder coating medium. So, for all the expense invovled I'd rather save for a new exhaust.

Powder-coat them, as it will last longer. I took mine off, they were a little hard to get off, i think they were lock-tited on, but i plan on powder coating them soon
